I would like to Research and gather family tree information and documentation to create a visual representation of original villages and the families from those villages and then the history of the General Allotment Act (February 8, 1887) and the amended act of February 28, 1891and June 25, 1910 for allotment ownership. We will then be able to show (by a map) the movement of people and families from their original villages to allotments, due to the Acts put into place by the US Government, and then to their current home. This project would provide a new look at Yurok society and the long term effects and impacts of the acts that affected Yurok homeland. Has anyone mapped Family ties to land or family tree information? Is there any type of module or add-on software to ESRI products that can be used for this?

This sound like a project that would make a good presentation, I hope to do something similar for the Muscogee Creek Nation and show how our lands have been chopped away and the removal and allotment of early 1900's further decimated our land holdings. Keep up the good work and I hope to see this presentation in the future.
