Who is using UAV or Drones??? And what type or brands do you use. What type of post processing software do you utilize, and how are you using with the imagery?

Currently using DJI multi-rotors. For processing software I am using Esri Drone2Map and AgiSoft PhotoScan. I then compress the imagery and/or the point cloud data with LizardTech GeoExpress (there are Tribal programs for both AgiSoft and LizardTech through Wind Environmental). I am currently using the end products to document locations for historic preservation and environmental site remediation...though there are many more uses.

Garet - Are you getting Drone2Map direct from ESRI or is there a tribal subscription available?

Thanks

I use Drone Deploy as my flight planning and flight image capture software. It's free and very reliable so far. They will even process some maps for you for free depending on size if you want. I use AgiSoft Photoscan to mosaic my imagery and create 3D models. It is a very powerful program.
The below link is a great guide from the USGS for using photoscan to make maps:

I fly DJI products at work. Most commonly a Matrice 100 with a multispectral MicaSense RedEdge camera or a Zenmuse X3.
Its a robust drone built on a developer platform. The new Matrice 210 also looks very nice as it has simultaneous multi camera options and it is also water resistance.

As for uses and products, we have found alot of really great stuff for the drone to do.
Orthomosaic imagery / mapping is very handy especially with the multi spectral camera for doing NDVI's. We also are utilizing the drone for building inspections, marketing, 3D terrain modeling, digital elevation models and even water quality.
